This is Mr. Jones writing...Khorie said she was going to do the blog today but I could not find it. Today was an "easy" day: vocabulary words were given, the test is on Friday. If you were absent today, you must get the list from a classmate.
HW: Study your vocabulary words; turn in your persuasive essay/project if you have not already done so; return your "Glory Field" novels; return your Literature book that was assigned to you at the beginning of the school year.

Mr. Jones writing here! Sorry for not having a post here in some time. We had some issues with some students in the handling of the blog and it was shut down for awhile. Hopefully we will be posting every day for the rest of the year. If you were absent, it is your responsibility to check with me or one of your classmates regarding missing assignments.
Today was a short day due to the performance of "The Wizard of Oz"!! WOW!! I am so impressed with what our students accomplish----absolutely incredible. Lots of laughs and drama too! "THANK YOU" to every one who helped, even in the smallest way.
Today I collected the Reading Journals, 15.1 - 15.4 (Monday was a holiday, so no 15.5). I also collected the Persuasive Essay/Projects. If you didn't turn in any of this work, please get it turned in a.s.a.p.
We also took the second vocabulary test of the semester. If you were absent, it is your responsibility to arrange a time with me to make it up.
Please return your "Glory Field" books as well as you textbooks that Ms. Nakada assigned to you at the beginning of the year!! That's it for now....see you on Monday!!

10th Grade CST Challenge!
I really didn't want to do the blog but oh well.
So we came into class and got our Book Projects back and the class is pretty loud.
Now we're getting instructions for the 10th Grade CST Challenge, but I'm not listening. One person in each group took out a piece of paper and is going to put everyones name on it.Ithink. Then we have to answers questions? I have no idea what's going on. now Mr.Jones is passing out a packet to everyone with English Language Arts Realeased Test Questions in it. He just passed out another packet. He said these are 10th Grade CST questions. The group I'm in just finished the questions, I think a lot of others are still working on it. We're going over the answers now. Aaaand now we're done. We just got another paper and have to number 8-12. We finished the questions. Now we're starting Round 3. The bell is about to ring so bye

We turned in the book projects and the reading journals. Mr. Jones was grading reading journals. The next 10 vocabulary words were given, projected on the board; students had to write the words and definitions. The rest of the class time was given to students to catch up on work. Since not all students chose to use this time wisely, there will be no more class time given to catch up on projects.

Hello! This is Mr. Jones writing. As of today, the blog is back up and running. I forgot to assign a student today to do the writing, that's why you're "hearing" me.
Agenda:
1) Vocabulary Test
2) Additional information given on persuasive essay/project (outlines, topics, etc.) The due date of this essay/project has been pushed back to Friday, June 2nd.
3) The rest of the class time was used for students to work on their English assignments.
Homework:
1) Due 5/25 : Reading Journals 14.1 - 14.5
2) Due 5/25: Book Projects (final book project of the school year)
3) Return "The Glory Field" novels
4) Continue to work on persuasive essay assignment

When we finished we corrected it. Mr.Jones is checking reading journals. Tatiana is sitting next to me singing "Somebody I Used To Know" with Brandon. The bell just rang so bye.
